Review: SKYFALL

Rating: 4.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

I was looking forward to seeing SKYFALL and was sincerely hoping it was better than Quantum of Solace, the last somewhat disappointing James Bond film.  The lovely yet gritty Daniel Craig is back for the latest Bond installment along with Dame Judy Dench as M.

Someone has done the impossible, breached M-5, physically and in the cyber world so, Bond is sent to find out whom and bring those responsible to justice.  This film offers more of the fantastic action that we saw in Casino Royale, one if not my favorite all time Bond movies.  This film is just a simple Bond story that is well acted and made.  I love their choice of Ben Whishaw as the new Q because he brings new life to the role.  Javier Bardem as the villain Silva was really nothing new but convincingly portrayed none the less.  I also loved how this film respected the old movies by using some of the same props even an Aston Martin just like Sean Connery did in the past.  Bond in this film begins to show his aging side as recently and over the years as a spy he has been injured over and over again but in the end he gets the job done no matter what.

All in all, this film is excellent and goes down as a close second to my all-time favorite Bond films.  A must see for any Bond enthusiast.  I believe viewers will like where this film goes in the end.
