Kate (Olivia Wilde) and Luke (Jake Johnson) work together at a craft brewery. They have one of those friendships that feel like it could be something more (SXSW). The only problem is that both already have significant others.
This film is a somewhat interesting look into the lives of two couples dealing with temptation and wondering if they are with the correct partners. We basically see their day to day lives as they work and play together. I remember after the screening at the South by Southwest film festival that Olivia thought the work she did in this film was her best and what she is most proud. I find that statement interesting because based on her previous work that I have seen I didn’t think this one was necessarily any better than the others.
This film is a decent drama but it is not something I would want to see over and over again. Olivia also said it was her idea to shoot the skinny dipping scene in this film which I could have done without and I don’t see why understand is bragging, although I am sure the guys didn’t mind. I would hope she is proud of her overall contribution to this film creatively and not merely for adding the scene mentioned above.
